July 14-20, 2018
Templed Hills and Beyond
Cost: $525 (Early Registration), $540 (Regular)*
Are you looking for a mission experience to make a difference? Gather at Templed Hills, travel to Christmount (a DOC Camp in Black Mountain, NC), and engage in community work with the Asheville Youth Mission (AYM) to explore the needs and struggles of those who are living on the margins within and around this beautiful tourist town. Groups will work with a variety of agencies working with those who are homeless, in poverty, or food insecure, both in urban and rural settings. This is an excellent opportunity for a small youth group to engage in mission work with the logistical support provided. A minimum number of adults may register for this event to accompany their youth if desired. (Please contact the Transitional Outdoor Ministry Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.)
DIRECTOR: Rev. David Zerby has led two groups in previous summers in the Christmount and AYM experience. His community building skills and social justice background bring a passion to his leadership of this experience. David is currently serving as the Interim Pastor of Vermilion United Church of Christ, Congregational in Vermilion, Ohio.
*Note: Due to offsite costs, the family discount does not apply to this event.
