April – A time of new life and resurrection! I have been loving the sunny days and all the signs of new life in nature all around me. While rain doesn’t make me smile and feel warm like the sun, I appreciate it because I know it helps things grow. Have you been enjoying God’s creation and new life in the nature that is surrounding you?
Of course, we love to do Outdoor Ministries at Templed Hills Camp. However, sometimes we can’t. Like now. But the camp spirit doesn’t have to wait until later. Did you see our first Outdoor Ministries: At Home Challenge that was posted on Facebook on Saturday?
Join us in our “Outdoor Ministries: At home. Challenge # 1”
Going outside in your yard or a trip around the block is great all the time and especially now. God is everywhere, just look! It is Eastertime, a time of new life! The challenge we are asking you to do is to take pictures of God’s creation and new life in nature, in your yard, or on your daily walks around your block. Last Saturday I posted a few of my photos of God’s resurrection spirit that is growing in my yard and on my block on our Facebook page. Please add your photos to the post or if you don’t have Facebook email them to office@heartlanducc.org and we’ll share them.
COVID-19 Updates
April is always a very busy month for Outdoor Ministries and in some ways, it still is this year and in other ways it is very different. During a month when Templed Hills camp is usually at one of its busiest times of the year, we are shuttered. However, we are still planning and preparing for when it is safe to gather at camp once more. We are also praying for you and your families and looking forward to when we can see you at camp again.
I hope you have seen my recent message about our COVID-19 and summer preparations, including a Frequently Asked Questions and Answer section. If not, please check out our COVID-19 camp update website at: https://www.ohioucc.org/all-project-list/covid-19-camp-update-page/ We will also provide updates there as they become available.
