Each year North Congregational UCC, Columbus, gives more than 100 of its members an adventure in the woods by using the Ohio Conference UCC camping program. By utilizing this space, members experience God’s creation in a beautiful, open place where the Spirit moves freely. These experiences have not only helped form the faith of children and youth, but have helped keep more mature members young at heart for more than 20 years. North Church has utilized Ohio Conference UCC camps for such things as our Annual All Church Family Reunion, men’s and women’s retreats and through the Conference’s youth summer camping programs.
In 2016, North is very excited to sponsor a church camp experience for ALL Ohio Conference churches. This event will be a Family/Intergenerational Camp at Pilgrim Hills, February 20 and 21, 2016 with a theme for LGBT and Allies…Stay tuned!
Would your church benefit from a church experience at Pilgrim Hills? How well do you know those
sitting beside you in the pew? What a better way to strengthen church family bonds than to be in community with one another, away from the Sunday morning hustle and bustle and regular committee work. Consider an annual event that your church members, both young and young at heart, can look forward to and plan together.
North Congregational has had this good thing going for 20 years and counting!
