Update from the Search Committee: April 2018

A Search Committee was formed in January to conduct a search for a Transitional Conference Minister. The goal is to complete the search in time for the new TCM to be in place by September 30, when Interim Conference Minister John Gantt will conclude his service here in West Virginia, Northern Kentucky, and Ohio.

In its last meeting, the committee reviewed responses to its survey which were used to finalize the TCM position description. That document and other information about the process can be found HERE. The committee thanks everyone that took time to complete the survey. Your input helped with the position description and will be useful as profiles are evaluated.

The committee hoped for a diverse pool to consider and is pleased that the profiles received reflect a church that is Multicultural, Multiracial, Open and Affirming, Accessible to All. To better assess the gifts each candidate would bring, each has been asked to respond to follow-up questions. Once those are received, the committee will select candidates for personal interviews with the intent of having a finalist to recommend to the conference board by early summer.
